Updated this week

🎯 Objective

This playbook helps you understand how Trustana uses external sources—websites where product details are listed—to enrich your catalog. You’ll learn how to identify the source, what it means for data accuracy, and how to manage source priorities.

🔍 What Are “Sources”?

In Trustana, sources are external websites where your product details are listed. These may include:

  • E-Commerce Websites

  • Supplier-hosted catalogs

  • Approved third-party content repositories

Trustana fetches content from these sources to automatically populate missing or outdated fields in your product listings.

🖥️ Where to View the Source

To check the source from which Trustana fetched product details:

  1. Go to the Enrichment Task tab

  2. You’ll see a list of all enrichment tasks

  3. Click on the Task ID of the relevant entry

  4. Then, click on the Product ID within the task

  5. On the product page, locate the Source field next to the enriched content.

6. Once you’re in the product view:

  • Click on the source badge (e.g., "2 sources", "3 sources") next to any attribute like Brand, Base Notes, etc.

  • A panel will slide in from the right side of the screen

  • This panel will display the URLs of the external websites where Trustana pulled the data from

  • Each entry may also include 👍 / 👎 buttons to provide feedback on source quality

This allows for full transparency and lets you verify exactly where Trustana is fetching product content from.
