Localize a Product using AI

Localise your Product Information to Multiple Locales

Updated over a week ago

On the Homepage, click on the Product tab on the navigation panel to the left, expand and click 'All products'.

This will give you an overview of the products associated with your account.

  1. From the Product List, find the product you wish to edit and click on its purple-coloured Product ID value to open up the Product Details screen.
Hint: Make sure you don't click on a Product Variant ID.

  2. On the top right corner, below the purple 'Edit' button, you will find the 'Localization' section.

  3. Click on the plus icon + to add a new locale to your product.

  4. Select the desired 'locale' from the dropdown list.
Currently supported as destination languages: English, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai.
    More languages to come!

If you have a specific language required, please let us know by clicking on the purple bubble at the bottom right corner, and submitting your request on the message form.

  5. After selecting a language, click 'Localise' and wait for a few seconds while the AI translates. If you get an error message, wait a few seconds and try again.

  6. Once finished, the locale (Country - Language) will appear in the Localisation section. Click on the link to view the results.

Managing Locale Product Information

After translating your product information, you may access the product lists associated with specific locales.

For example, if your account has 100 SKUs, yet you translated 50 SKUs to China - Simplified Chinese, this list will only display 50 SKUs.

On the Homepage, click on the Product tab on the navigation panel to the left, expand and click 'Localization'.

This will give you an overview of the locales used and their associated products.

From here you can perform similar actions as in 'All products' section:

  • View Change History

  • Create Variant Groups for the localised products

  • Export localised product information

  • Delete localised product
This will not delete the original Product, only its translation.

What is a 'Locale'?

A locale is a configuration that saves Region/Country and Language instances for our Product Information. It has a parent-child relationship with the main product, and both have the main unique Trustana SKU ID.

Examples:

  • China - Simplified Chinese

  • Singapore - English

  • Korea - Korean

  • Japan - Japanese

  • Thailand - Thai

  • Singapore - Simplified Chinese
