Customise your Product Data Fields (Attributes)

Attribute configuration allows you to create the fields you need for your product data model.

Updated over a week ago

Our system is flexible, enabling our customers to show and store the various types of data (read: fields) they currently have. Adding fields, or attributes, to the account is a straightforward process which can be done before or after the initial product upload. Fields can be string, currency, numeric, dropdown lists and date formats. These fields can be used to enter product differentiators such as color options, size options and so forth (also known as product variants).

For example, food and beverage products may require fields like expiry dates and ingredients, while cosmetic products may require colour codes and suggested skin tones.

This process creates new fields, which can be then associated with products.

To insert data on the fields for each product, you need to enter the Create Product or Edit Product screens.

On the Homepage, click on the Attribute Configuration tab on the navigation panel to the left. This will open up the main attributes page with two tabs:

  • Custom Attribute - here you can add fields capable of holding the following value types: text, numeric, dropdown lists, and date.

  • Custom Price - here you can add fields capable of holding the following value types: number with a specific currency
